Dash Dhanoa

April 28, 2026 by

Dashmeet Dhanoa is a architectural intern here at STUDIOAXIS. She is a fourth-year architecture student at Ball State University who is interested in designing spaces that feel connected to people, culture, and the environment.

Influenced by her Punjabi roots and lived experiences, she’s drawn to work that brings people together and reflects the energy and diversity of the communities it serves. She sees architecture as more than just buildings—it’s a way to shape experiences, support everyday life, and create spaces that feel welcoming, meaningful, and alive, while also being thoughtful about sustainability and the impact design has on the environment.

As she begins her first internship at Studio Axis, Dash is excited to learn, contribute, and grow within a collaborative studio environment. She approaches her work with curiosity and openness, always looking for new ways to develop her ideas and strengthen her design voice. Outside of architecture, she enjoys traveling, drawing, painting, henna and exploring mural work, using art as a way to bring storytelling, color, and personality into shared spaces. She aims to carry that same creative and thoughtful approach into her architectural work, designing spaces that feel expressive, responsible, and genuinely connected to the people who experience them.
