Giant Interactive Headquarters Campus Masterplan
The Giant Interactive Group Headquarters in Zhuhai is an iconic, innovative campus that combines the group’s programmatic aspirations with the site’s natural beauty and surrounding context, all the while targeting carbon neutrality and zero water waste.
Located in Zhuhai, Guangdong, the master plan will materialize over several phases to accommodate more than 20,000 staff and residents and a full range of commercial facilities including a headquarters, commercial office space, campus wide amenities, live/work space, and residential. These specialized facilities converge around a dynamic, central space to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and engender a strong community. Giant’s Zhuhai Campus will provide an inspirational environment for staff of its southern China headquarters’ establishing a world-leading standard of campus environments across China.
The campus features exemplary sustainability and resiliency measures, attuned to the site within the rapidly developing, southern coastal region of mainland China in a part of the world that will witness some of the greatest climate change impact. The site embraces the Xianglu Bay and enforce its “zero water waste” goal, collecting and filtering rainwater for reuse and promoting resiliency through flooding and coastal wetland protection. The outdoor collaboration areas and the buildings themselves will incorporate a combination of active and passive thermal comfort strategies to support the well-being and enjoyment of occupants within the humid micro-climate of the site.
