Hannam Housing Estate

A timeless form was one of the prime objectives, following Seakyoung’s desire to bestow a beautiful monument to the capital city skyline. The sleek, cruciform of the 85-story tower stands out from the city’s rocky, mountainous topography and is organized around a mixed-use program, comprising retail, luxury rental apartments, union housing, terraced apartments, a kindergarten, sports fields, and a rooftop observation deck. The building’s top ten stories are earmarked for luxury apartments and entertainment facilities, including an infinity pool and rooftop café.

The tower’s design establishes an aesthetic of simplicity seen against the backdrop of Hannam Mountain and the Namsen Mountain Park. Envisioned in glass and striated metal, the tower rises to provide 360° views above the city. Hovering 85 stories above street level, the outdoor pool deck and roof garden offer stunning views of the city. Residents can swim to the edge during an evening sunset, and at the same time both view and become part of the Seoul skyline.
