Spot Freight

Spot’s office is located in a lively area, which complements their fun, hip working environment. The historic building in which Spot is housed was formerly a two-story entertainment facility. The design team helped SPOT renovate the second floor in 2016, transforming it into Spot’s call center. In 2019, the third floor was renovated giving Spot an additional workspace creating a cohesive space, one that connects to the floor below.

While the creation of “neighborhoods” distinguished the third floor from the second floor, similar features and finishes unite the two. Spot’s open environment promotes productivity, collaboration, and connectivity. Since logistics can be a desk-heavy job, studioAXIS wanted to provide employees with opportunities to leave their desks, eat lunch, socialize, or relax for a few minutes. The stand-out feature in Spot’s third floor office space is the bowling alley. The bowling alley provides a fun activity for Spot employees, who use the space to wind down. Adjacent kitchen space and seating areas give this part of the office a relaxing, “hang out there” vibe. Environmental graphics also emphasize Spot’s culture, which is energetic, fun, and fast-paced. The designers made sure to include space for logos and other signage to connect the second floor to the third floor, and graphically support Spot’s growth as a company.
