Wuhan Technology Industry Park
Located adjacent to the Jiufeng National Park, the Wuhan Technology Industry Park transitions from a commercial program, including a state-of-the-art headquarters, low-rise office buildings and a marquee hotel, to tree-lined garden residential towers at its northern end.
The masterplan consists of a headquarters building for CSC, freestanding single tenant office buildings, hotel, retail, cultural, and residential programs, extending the landscape from the Jiufeng National Park directly into the site, creating a great landscape gesture at a grand scale. Arranged to offer optimal views of the mountains to the north, the buildings are visually linked through a design that respects nature and the ecology of the site.
Stitching together the development across varying scales is the element of water that connects the districts through a water flow seemingly to come from the mountains beyond. The residential tower design draws inspiration from the historic urban fabric in terms of scale and organic assembly. The project’s environmental strategy is multi-layered, integrating design with technology and lifestyle. The green spaces and roofs reduce heat-island effect and utilize rainwater, reducing rain run-off.
