Maarten Bergsma

Maarten believes in architecture as an intersection of art and technology, and brings his advanced technical skills to the team, including a mix of 2D and 3D graphical capabilities and computational design talent.

He received a full ride scholarship to Ball State University and graduated with a B.Arch degree in 2022. Before coming to studioAXIS in 2024, he further pursued his creative interests by taking online classes in topics like UX and procedural design while working at a conventional architectural office. As a young, aspiring architect, he aims to leverage technology to create beautiful form and imagery through experimental techniques while pursuing traditional licensure. He uses his talents to generate clarity and cohesion in his designs, working with clients to generate meaningful and impactful design concepts that create a distinct identity. 

Since graduation, Maarten has worked on a variety of project types from multi-family, commercial, residential and service industries in the state of Indiana and beyond. His love of travel has exposed him to many spectacular environments in Europe and Asia and he hopes to create similar inspirational new experiences to people through his designs for the built environment.

Joe DeArmond

His journey began with the art of hand drafting, where he developed a deep appreciation for precision and craft—an approach that continues to shape his design process today. As a graduate of Ball State University, Joe honed his skills with a focus on designing for the larger community. His studies reinforced his belief that architecture is not just about creating buildings, but about shaping environments that uplift and inspire. This philosophy has guided his work, allowing him to contribute to projects that make a meaningful impact in Indianapolis and beyond.

In his professional practice, Joe prioritizes principles of social and environmental justice; ensuring that every design decision considers the needs of the people it serves. He is committed to creating spaces that are not only functional and well-crafted, but also serve as a tool for positive transformation in the communities they inhabit.

Jack Field

Every project has the potential for greatness.

Jack Field brings a well-rounded, budget-conscious, and insightful approach to the StudioAxis team, backed by experience in residential design, commercial spaces, restaurant interiors, higher education facilities, and laboratory environments. His diverse background allows him to craft spaces that are both functional and inspiring.

A native of Indiana, Jack’s passion for design and community took root early. After graduating from Noblesville High School in 2017, he was awarded the David Feltner Scholarship by Habitat for Humanity of Indiana for his innovative approach to residential design—creating a Habitat home plan for a deserving family. He went on to refine his skills at Ball State University, earning a Bachelor of Architecture from the College of Architecture and Planning (CAP) in 2022.

Jack is committed to seamlessly blending functionality with aesthetic appeal, ensuring that every design not only meets client needs but also reflects their vision. He values strong relationships with clients and collaborators, approaching each project with professionalism and dedication. His work is driven by the belief that thoughtful design has the power to shape a better world.

When not in the office, Jack enjoys cruising around the world with his wife, Sarah.

Shreya Shenoy

Shreya believes the key to a good design is to listen, observe, and prioritizing the needs of the end user.

Shreya has always been intrigued by the interplay of spaces, memories, trajectories, and emotions. Her upbringing in Dubai, led her to witness the dynamic evolution of the cityscape and sparked her fascination with architecture. 

Beginning her career as an architect in Dubai, Shreya worked for 3 years on various residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, and landscape projects. Her journey continued with graduate studies at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia, further refining her craft.  Shreya always strives to push boundaries with each project and relishes new design challenges. She is constantly honing her skillset and thrives in the collaborative side of the industry.

Her global experiences have influenced her people-centric approach to design. She believes that there is a constant and delicate balance of respecting and maintaining the local identity, while also creating spaces that truly become intersections of different languages, cultures, and identities.

Shreya sees architecture as a powerful tool for addressing pressing societal and climate issues. Good design has the ability to serve both the client and the broader community, enriching neighborhoods. With functionality at the forefront to her design process, she aims to create designs that can leave a positive social impact on the communities it serves.

Mitchell Geis

Behind every good design is an even better story.

Mitchell is a 2022 graduate of Ball State University. He has had his eye on architecture from an early age with a passion for drawing and building. While recently starting in the profession, he is eager to dive into the field of architecture and soak up as much information as he can. Mitchell gained an appreciation and fascination for detail and the technical side of architecture while at school. He looks forward to using that in combination with his love of design to bring clients’ ideas to reality. One thing he’s excited to dive deeper into is the collaborative side of the profession. He looks forward to working with others and helping each other to achieve a common goal.

Mitchell brings a team-focused mind and unique perspective to the field of architecture. This comes from his volunteer work helping with his church at college and volunteering with different organizations within the school of architecture. He’s also obtained a unique perspective from his many travels. While only having been to twenty-three states and seven countries, he hopes to quickly expand that in the coming years. When not at work, he fills his time with events at his local church, spending time with friends and family, or traveling somewhere new.

Prakhar Srivastava

Prakhar Srivastava graduated with honors from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education’s School of Architecture in Manipal, India with a Bachelors of Architecture Degree. His outstanding academic record found him graduating at the top of his class. Prakhar’s major interests are towards learning and studying on sustainable architecture and how it can shape the future of our buildings and the built environment. His graduate thesis is based on Urban Planning and Design, which involves rigorous planning, large-scale urban studies, and how to preserve historic buildings in this modern era of expansion and urbanization.

Prakhar has three years of professional experience working on projects ranging from medium-scale buildings to mixed-use projects to large-scale urban developments which include the design of millions of square feet. His work spans across Asia including Thailand, India, the Middle East, China, and most recently the United States. His portfolio includes a wide range of building typologies and some of the most important commissions of our time including mixed-use projects, commercial office buildings, renovations, urban master plans, residential facilities, and public area interiors.

With experience at large design firms globally, he has developed the skills necessary to manage the workflow of complex projects as well as develop a sense of international design practices. Notable projects include The Avenues Sharjah in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, Bagmane Capital Corporate Campus in Bangalore, India, the American Express Headquarters in Gurgaon, India, and the Provenance Land Commercial Tower & Hotel Canopy in Mumbai, India. Prakhar’s exceptional technical skills allow him to explore and push the boundaries of design excellence on any scale.

Nutdanai Paisantuksin

Nye brings innovative solution and multidisciplinary approach to studioAxis’s architecture team.

Nye strongly believe in the interior architecture role as an interface negotiating a new relationship between humans and space. At Chulalongkorn University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture, through various scales and focuses academic projects helped develop my approach to this complex relationship with simple, subtle design thinking and solution.

In his five years of experience, he’s had an opportunity to work with clients from various industries and a diverse group of colleagues. “My studio focuses on workplace projects.” As a interior designer, he supports the team in creating design options, delivering presentations based on their standard. His responsibilities began with dealing with client briefs, realistic rendering, hospitality design within project budgeted hours, and coordinating closely with suppliers and contractors. The experience so far has also provided him with a team working environment including clients, other architects, engineers, many others, including internal teams. Now, he’s am learning to find the right balance between taking ownership as well as being a great team member supporting others to complete each task.

Adarsh Desai

Adarsh Desai is an aspiring architect who thrives on pursuing his career goal of working on both small and large-scale projects globally. As both an architectural and computational designer, he endeavors to find solutions to design problems using advanced computer techniques.

After graduating with honors from the University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering in Bangalore, India with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, his outstanding academic record found him graduating at the top of his class. Adarsh began his career at rat[LAB] in Delhi, India, exploring parametric design and interventions in architectural space acquiring considerable knowledge in computational and parametric design techniques using Grasshopper and Rhino. With his technical expertise and computational parametric design methodology as an approach to design, Adarsh adds a level of critical design thinking and value to his work and brings this benefit of innovation and forward-thinking to his clients and their projects. The result is an architecture that is timeless, impactful, and rigorous providing a truly unique and critically important design approach to enhance the user experience leading ultimately to his client’s success.

Since his graduation in 2019, Adarsh has worked on commercial, civic, residential, retail, and master planning projects, gaining recognition for his work across Asia and the United States. With experience at large design firms globally, he has developed the skills necessary to leverage technology as a way to engage in complex projects that elevate the design experience. Adarsh’s notable projects include the Rasa Tower in Bangkok, Thailand, Bagmane Capital Corporate Campus in Bangalore, India, the Provenance Land Commercial Office Tower in Mumbai, India, the Siemens Healthineers Campus in Bangalore, India, and the Lotus’s North Ratchapruek Lifestyle Center in Nonthaburi, Thailand. Wasutop Viriyasuebpong is a young aspiring architect who thrives on pursuring his career goal of working on both small and large scale projects. He graduated with honors from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Architecture. His outstanding academic record found him graduating at the top of his class. Since his graduation in 2019. Wasutop has worked on commercial, civic, sports and master planning projects, gaining recognition for his work in Thailand, India and the United States.

With experience at the largest design firm globally, he has developed the skills necessary to leverage technology as a way to engage in complex projects that elevate the design experience. Wasutop’s notable projects include Nexus @ Noida International Airport in India, Bagmane Capital Corporate Campus in Bangalore, India, the Provenance Land Commercial Office Tower in Mumbai, India, the 765 Hectare TRA Industrial District of the Future Masterplan in Samut Prakan, Thailand and the 100 Square Kilometer EEC Smart Livable City in the Rayong Province, Thailand. Tisha Aramkul

Tisha Aramkul graduated with honors from The Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London in the United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. She returned to Thailand after her tenure in the United Kingdom.

Prior to joining StudioAXIS, Tisha has experience working with a large international design firm on a range of projects that include Mixed-Use, Residential, and Commercial projects in Vietnam. Her work in Vietnam allowed her to become familiar with the codes, compliances, and regulations which she then translates into functional architecture. Having worked on multiple projects in the concept and schematic design stages, Tisha has a developed sense of design that has led her the ability to develop poetic concepts for creating space and built form.

Tisha is passionate about designing for the human experience and shaping the user’s own experience through the use of materiality and light as it manifests itself in the form of Architecture.

She believes that architecture can transform spaces into meaningful places where designers create built form to allow for the embedding of memories and experiences which gives real meaning to place making.
