Makkasan Station
Makkasan Station is a vibrant, mixed-use transit-oriented development that integrates with the fabric of Bangkok, reflecting the district’s energy and favorable climate through a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces destined to be world class.
With a site 24 hectares in size, the Makkasan Station is a mixed-use complex situated at the confluence of two major boulevards and a multi-modal mass transit hub. Once complete, the Makkasan Station will experience an unprecedented high volume of pedestrian and vehicular traffic to create a new center of gravity for TOD in Thailand. The design situates a series of mid-rise office and residential towers in a programmed park and punctuated with a signature mixed use tower, designed to be a new icon for Bangkok. A multi-level retail destination built around the Makkasan Station that currently operates the Airport Rail Link and will include the new High Speed Rail Station, the project will create a retail experience in the form of a hill village nestled among the towers at the ground plane.
The luxury residential towers on the west end of the site, overlooking a 40,000-seat arena nestled within the park, float above the hill village providing residents connectivity across Bangkok. A project whose goal is to be net zero with unprecedented amenities in a 24/7 setting, will create a place that is a new world class destination in Thailand.
