McBean Regional Transit Center

Inspired by the terrain of the Angeles National Forest that encompasses Santa Clarita Valley, the McBean Regional Transit Center is a multi-modal facility serving the residents of the Santa Clarita Valley.

Located along McBean Parkway and Valencia Boulevard, adjacent to the Westfield Valencia Town Center, the McBean Regional Transit Center accommodates seventeen bus loading bays to give passengers greater connectivity throughout the 200 square mile region. Coupled with the adjacent park-and-ride facility, the McBean Regional Transit Center add a layer of convenience that is unparalleled throughout the region.

The roof forms, designed to provide shelter for passengers, are tilted upward towards the south allowing natural daylight to add a level of brightness and sense of security to the passenger experience. The light-weight tree-like structure balances the roof form countered by heavy limestone bases that define the space below the roof forms for passenger waiting.
