Mercedes Benz Showroom
As the luxury brand’s largest flagship store in Southeast Asia, the Mercedes Benz Showroom in Bangkok for the Benz BKK Group, marks a major milestone for both companies.
The Mercedes Benz flagship store is a thirteen-level automotive dealership situated along Bang Na-Trat Frontage Road adjacent to the elevated Bang Na Chonburi Expressway. The design presents a unique dealership within a relatively small rectangular site with the narrow end of the site facing the Bang Na Chonburi Expressway. The result is a single tower with highly visible automotive showrooms, workshops, office space, service facilities, as well as parking facilities for 200 vehicles.
Unlike the traditional one or two-story dealership, the flagship facility was designed to have its primary showrooms strategically placed on levels 8 and 9 overlooking the expressway. The two-story volume housing the new car showrooms cantilevers beyond the building’s façade creating a striking glass volume visible from the expressway and the highway below. The two-story glass showroom features an internal ramp that traverses’ levels 8 and 9 with connectivity to the rooftop. This elevated showroom experience begins with a pair of glass elevators at the ground level bringing customers to the elevated levels with dynamic views overlooking the city of Bangkok.
