Takenaka – IAF

Located in Greenfield, Indiana, Takenaka – IAF’s new facility transforms an existing building with a new façade and adds office and industrial space to create a light filled interior.

The design for Takenaka – Indiana Automotive Fasteners is a transformational building repositioning project that has added 300,000 F² of industrial and office space to an existing 600,000 F² industrial facility. The 575-foot-long new glass and aluminum façade is accentuated by a cylindrical volume that has added a new showroom for the customers of this automotive manufacturer.

The new open office space is a modern workplace environment designed to foster communication and collaboration and create a sense of community among the employees. By doubling the office area of its existing building, Takenaka – IAF’s new office is centered around employee well-being, with large communal spaces that foster relaxation and interaction between employees.
